Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Description

Ingredients:

Blue Bully BBQ Rub
-
Blue Bully BBQ Sauce
-
Blue Bully Chili Oil
-
Pork Shoulder
-
1 Onion
-
5 Cloves of Garlic
-
Cilantro Stems
-
Fresh Thyme
-
1 T Worcestershire Sauce
-
2 Cups Chicken Broth
-
1 Cup Orange Juice
-
Potatoes (optional)
Directions:
-
Slice onions in rounds. Place along the bottom of the slow cooker. Add garlic, orange juice, worcestershire sauce, thyme, broth and BBQ sauce to taste.

Trim all excess fat from pork, generously cover entire pork shoulder with BBQ rub and place in the slow cooker on top of the onion base. Add potatoes if using. Top with the cilantro stems and add spoons of chili oil to taste (add a few whole peppers if you like it hot.)

Turn your slow cooker to low and cook for 8 hours.

Remove pork from the slow cooker, shred using two forks. Mix shredded pork with BBQ sauce and some of the cooking juices. Place on a sheet pan and cook at 420° for 15 minutes or until crisped.

Coleslaw ingredients:

2-3 Cups precut coleslaw mix
(I like a mix that includes cabbage and carrots) -
3 Tbs Mayonnaise

1 Tbs Apple cider vinegar
-
Salt & Pepper to taste
-
1 Jalapeño (Sliced)

Cilantro
