Hi we're Jaz and DJ, your local neighborhood farmers.
Dj has always loved spicy foods, and Jazmyn loves plants and cooking. We really got started growing super hot peppers when DJ brought home an old bookshelf and declared it a planter box. We filled it up with dirt, planted some seedlings and pretty soon we had a lot of peppers. We began bottling fermented hot sauces starting with the 5 Pepper Special which contained the 5 hottest peppers we had grown that year: chocolate trinidad scorpion, ghost pepper, habanero, thai chilies, and red serranos.
One summer day DJ smoked a rack of ribs but we were out of BBQ Sauce. So we made our own! Dj being allergic to tomatoes we opted for a peach and chili based recipe rather than the traditional ketchup base. And the original Hot Peach BBQ sauce was born. Since then, we've expanded the line to include several seasonal fruits like watermelon, plum, and pineapple - all ketchup-free. We also create BBQ rubs, spicy chili oils, spicy pickled onions and other seasonal spicy snacks. A lot of the ingredients are grown by us on our urban farm right here in Portland Oregon.

Jodie is a blue-nose American Bully. He's a very gentle and sweet dog with a big heart and an even bigger head. We named our brand after him because he used to sit next to the pepper plants and watch over them. Unlike most dogs he LOVES wearing clothes and goes crazy when we put a bandana on him.
